Little Britain USA is to return
for a second series, despite claims Americans failed to get the jokes
and found it too rude. Numerous headlines claimed Americans were shocked
by the show, but the pair deny that it caused any controversy. "We're
getting a second series. It was very successful on HBO, it
got good viewing figures, great reviews, everyone was really pleased,"
David Walliams added.

and David Walliams have been filming an American version of Little Britain
for HBO called Little Britain USA
which was released on pay-TV network HBO on Sept 28 2008 followed by
BBC1 on October 3rd as a six-part series.Matt and David
created up to ten
new characters for
the American version of the show.
Little Britain USA
is an American spinoff of the successful British BBC television
series Little Britain.
As in the British series, the show focuses on characters played by
Matt Lucas and David Walliams and features many established
characters such as Daffyd Thomas,
Sebastian Love,
Marjorie Dawes and Vicky Pollard but also includes new characters.
Simon
Fuller (the man behind HBO and "American Idol") is understood to
have been approached by the writers and stars of "Little Britain,"
Matt Lucas and David Walliams, to develop the show for a U.S.
audience. According to a spokesman, Simon is a great fan of "Little
